A battle is brewing over the Expo lands on Vancouver’s waterfront.
The key dispute relates to whether two parties made a binding agreement to develop and sell the Expo lands in a joint venture.
The defendant – Canadian Metropolitan Properties Corporation – is the registered owner of the lands which have a value of around 500-million-dollars.
The company is wholly owned by the other defendant company, Hong Kong Expo Holdings Ltd.
The plaintiff is Concord Pacific Acquisitions.
A summary trial is set for the fall.
