We now know how a former B.C. woman and her American husband were murdered near their Washington State home last month.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office says former Burnaby woman Monique M. Patenaude died of multiple gunshot wounds, and her husband Patrick Shunn was shot in the head.
After more than a month missing, their bodies were recovered this week in a remote spot near their Arlington, Washington home.
Tony Reed, one of two brothers charged with the slayings, told detectives where the bodies were buried after he turned himself in.
It’s believed John Reed is still on the run in Mexico.
Court documents revealed a neighbour dispute between John Reed and the victims with the couple saying he was illegally squatting on his former property.
