Police in Abbotsford ended the long weekend much like they started it, responding to a shots fired call this time in the City’s downtown.
Constable Ian MacDonald says shots rang out at around 8:30pm Monday, between two vehicles.
“There doesn’t appear to have been any injuries, none the less this took place in close proximity to Jubilee Park, which is fairly busy any day of the week and at any time of day. Last night around 8:30 there were quite a few people in and around that area so obvious public safety concerns here.”
Police found some shell casings.
A newer dark-coloured Jeep Cherokee and a dark-coloured two-door pickup truck both fled the scene.
On Friday Abbotsford police evacuated a hotel after a shot was fired.
No injuries were reported and no one has been arrested yet, but police have a person of interest on there radar.
