North Vancouver RCMP are on the lookout after what’s believed to be a rash of pellet gun shootings.
Staff Sgt. Paul Duffy says between 11 pm on Saturday and 3 am on Sunday, someone shot up 41 car windows in the Lynn Valley – Grand Boulevard area.
“It was evident a pellet gun was used. There was some where the whole windshield or side window was gone, it was a little more difficult. But we believe 41 of the cases are related.”
Duffy says the guns aren’t toys, and police take the incident very seriously.
“There has been incidents in the past where actually individuals weren’t shooting at vehicles, they were actually shooting at pedestrians walking in the street. And dependent on where they were hit it could cause serious injury and possibly death.”
Police estimate the pellets did about $30,000 dollars damage.
