It wasn’t a loss, but it wasn’t exactly a win either, with the Vancouver Whitecaps fighting to a draw against Sporting Kansas City Wednesday night in Rogers Arena.
Vancouver drew first blood, with Bolanos firing a shot into the net just 14 minutes in.
It wasn’t answered by SKC until nearly 30 minutes in, with Rubio managing to put one past the keeper.
The rest of the half passed relatively quietly, save for Weston and Rubio drawing yellow cards for the Whitecaps and SKC respectively.
Shortly after the second half was underway, Waston drew a second yellow, dropping the Whitecaps to 10 men for the game.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Whitecaps will be back at it on Saturday in New York.
