A reported shooting today at the Capitol Visitor Center complex.
Officials say the shooter has been taken into custody after people in the area received e-mails from security officials to shelter in place.

The House Sergeant at Arms is reporting an officer was shot but was not seriously wounded.

CBS is now reporting that no officers were shot.

The White House and Congress lockdown has since been lifted.
