The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirms they are investigating “a suspicious death” after a car crash Friday night.
It happened in the 7900 block of 123A Street around 9pm.
Surrey RCMP were called out to reports of a car striking a tree.
IHIT says they found one man suffering from injuries that are “inconsistent with a car crash.”
The man behind the wheel died while in hospital.
In a release, IHIT says they are in the evidence gathering stage and expect to have the area closed off to public access for several hours.”
Sergeant Stephanie Ashton says they want to speak to anyone that may have been in the area at the time of the crash.
