The annual VPD stolen goods auction is back this Saturday with hundreds of goods available to the highest bidder.
This year, about 350 bikes are available as well as jewelry, musical instruments, tools and various sporting goods items.
The unreserved auction takes place at Able Auctions in Vancouver, beginning with the bikes in the morning and the rest of the items in the afternoon.
More than 500 bikes have been recovered this year
According to auctioneer Rob Kavanagh, there are another 200 bikes that will be available at a later date.
“We wanted it to be a one day auction, so we do have more bikes we’ll be selling at a later date, but we had to cut it off at a certain point.”
Kavanagh says there are two crowds that come, a couple hundred people in the morning for the bikes and a whole new crowd in the afternoon for the other items.
