It was a hard lesson today for a young BC Liberal political activist.
David Decolongon, whose Twitter bio describes himself as a “Social Media Intern” with the party, is taking fire today for posting a tweet impersonating the leader of the opposition.
The $2.15m is a reference to the price the NDP sold their former Burnaby headquarters for which made headlines earlier this week.
That sale was initially reported as being to a foreign buyer – but it later emerged that the building was sold to a local hotel owner of Taiwanese descent.
Decolongon subsequently deleted the Tweet and apologized, but not before setting off a firestorm of criticism.
No word yet from the Liberals on the incident.
