Does the thought of climbing nearly 50 flights of stairs make you dizzy? It’s a feat more than 300 people took on today, in a bid to raise money to fight lung disease.
“I’m in a lot of physical pain right now but it was worth it, raising money for the charity of the B.C. lung association, awesome”
“48 floors seems really intimidating but actually it’s really your will power not so much your physical abilities I find.”
This is the 15th year of Climb the Wall, and organizer Chris Lam says turnout has been great
“So far we’ve raised about $50,000 and we’re hoping for about $75,000, it’s been a fantastic effort so far.”
Lam says the challenge is exhausting, but is worth it in the end… and helps show just how important healthy lungs are.
“It hurts a lot but it’s all for a good cause, you really feel and appreciate your lungs and breathing in general.”
