We know they’re beautiful.
Now, one of the biggest publications in the world has taken notice of two BC beaches.
They’re the only Canadian beaches on The Guardian’s list of the top 50 beaches in the world.
Vancouver’s English Bay was given the nod for being one of the best city beaches, while Tofino’s Chesterman Beach was singled out for being the best wild and remote beach.
While the paper says “you could almost pick any beach off the ocean-side of Vancouver Island” it gives Chesterman Beach the edge.
It adds English Bay “really comes into its own at dusk….[when] Vancouverites stroll in to sit on the huge blanched logs…and gaze out at the sunsets, glass or guitar in hand.”
The pair are in rarefied company, joining spectacular waterfronts like Bora Bora in French Polynesia and Source D’Argent in the Seychelles.
