Whistler Pemberton RCMP have released an update into yesterday’s hit and run.
Police say a man was driving a pickup truck South of Portage Road on Highway 99 just after 11 am, when he hit a female pedestrian on the road’s shoulder.
Investigators say the man then reportedly got out of his truck, picked the victim up and put her in the vehicle, then drove away.
RCMP say they have since tracked both people involved in the incident down, as well as the truck.
Police say they have arrested a 35-year-old Port Douglas man.
The victim’s condition, where, and how she was found remains unclear. The identity of the driver and what charges he may face are also unknown.
CKNW is waiting for more details from the detachment.
RCMP are still appealing for witnesses to come forward by calling Whistler Pemberton RCMP or Crimestoppers.
