The Best Buffalo Wings
“I swear, if you make these things, you will never buy frozen chicken wings again.”
Place chicken wings in a large bowl. Add 2 tbs of salt and cover with cold water. Soak for about 30 minutes then rinse wings well and set aside. This will clean, tenderize and lightly season the wings. Dry wings a bit with paper towel.
“You want to season those bad boys”
Now generously season the wings with seasoning salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
Place a frying pan over medium heat and add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil.
Heat the oil for about seven minutes then add wings and fry for approximately 25 mins. Wings should be cooked through, golden brown and crispy on all sides. Now set wings aside.
Now set those crispy wings aside.
Clean the pan out.
Place the pan back over medium heat and add 1 tbs of butter, 1/2 cup of Franks Red Hot sauce, and (here’s the secret) 3 tbs of ketchup. It helps the sauce to stick to the wings.
Add 1 tsp of parsley flakes to the sauce and then dump in the wings.
Spoon the sauce over the wings and flip the wings over until both sides are fully coated.
Reduce heat and simmer for about five minutes as the Buffalo sauce thickens.
