Surrey RCMP say two children remain in hospital, after their family was struck by a car in a crosswalk Tuesday night.
Cpl. Scotty Schumann says the mother suffered minor injuries and father escaped harm, when they were hit crossing 76 Avenue at 147A Street just before 6 p.m.
Their kids were not so lucky.
“The son, six years old, has serious but non-life threatening injuries. A four-year-old girl has critical injuries, but is in stable condition.”
Mounties say impaired driving and speed are not considered factors, but it’s possible the driver was distracted.
