Good news for a dog named Willow.
The BC SPCA’s Lorie Chortyk says charges will be laid against her former owner, a university student, after the Husky was found wandering around a year ago in Maple Ridge, emaciated. She had rocks and gravel in her stomach — a sign of how starving she was.
“Thankfully, she’s made a full recovery.”
Yu Lin faces two charges of animal cruelty, which carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail and a $75,000 fine.
As for Willow, she’s doing incredibly well living with a family that took her in last March.
