A video shot in Vancouver and posted to YouTube ten day ago has now been viewed more than a million times.
It’s called Homeless Millionaire Prank! and depicts a man stumbling around Gastown in a bathrobe asking people if he can borrow their cellphone to make a call.
It’s almost awkward to watch; not only because people refuse him – but also because of the feces-like stains on the bathrobe. Yuck!
The strange dance at the end of the video doesn’t help either.
Finally someone does lend the “millionaire” a phone, he makes a call, and lo and behold, a Rolls Royce pulls up with a properly suited driver.
This is where is really gets weird. See for yourself:
That ain’t no homeless guy
The description of the video reads:
“Watch what happens when a seemingly homeless man asks unsuspecting members of the public to borrow their cell phone to call for his ride. A ride which happens to be a Rolls Royce with a driver and butler. It just shows to say that you should never judge a book by it’s cover!”
But the truth is that if I came across this guy in Gastown I’d take him for another guy who partied too hard the night before, and then found himself somewhere he shouldn’t be in the cruel light of day.
