Vancouver police are left with more questions than answers after a cyclist died overnight following a bizarre series of circumstances.
The cyclist, who would have turned 46 on Friday, was biking without a helmet when he was hit with something tossed out of a trash can by a so-called binner.
VPD Const. Brian Montague says the man had been going through the trash, and he likely knew what he did.
Police are looking for an Aboriginal man, about six feet tall, who was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket and jeans.
Montague adds it appears to have simply been an accident.
