The family of the victims in Wednesday’s vicious dog attack which left one woman in critical condition and two others injured are speaking out on Facebook.
Steven Mather says he’s the father of the two women who were attacked.
In a post, he says his daughter Jessi is stitched up and doing okay, and his other daughter Kati was going in for emergency surgery, adding he was surrounding her with love, prayers, and healing energy.
That post came yesterday morning.
Another woman named Andrina Kelly identifies herself as the grandmother of the three-year-old boy the two women were trying to protect from the 80-pound Rottweiler / Husky cross.
Kelly says she knows “there is a long recovery for them both physically and psychologically but their family will be there every step of the way”.
Kati underwent emergency surgery after suffering over 100 bites, a detached bicep, and fractured forearm.
The dog is still in the care of the Richmond Animal Protection Society as a decision is needed from the City on whether or not it’ll be put down.
