Proposed changes to a bus route in White Rock-South Surrey is causing a lot of anxiety for residents along Cranley Drive.
Dianne Miller’s one of the people who could be forced to walk further to catch the C53 that she takes everyday to visit her mother in a care home.
Miller says the proposed route change may ultimately force her to move.
“As I’m aging, the thoughts of not being able to access the bus at least outside where I am now to cut out quite a bit of walking with heavy groceries. It could probably make me think I might have to move.”
TransLink has responded saying the proposed change would extend service to Morgan Crossing but at the same “empathizes with some residents of Cranley Drive who may face a walk to either 20th Avenue or 24th.”
