Donald Trump may be leading in the pack among U.S Republican presidential candidates, but a new Angus Reid Institute poll suggests his controversial statements about Muslims is having a chilling impact on Canadian city-dwellers.
Spokesperson Shachi Kurl says most Canadians think developers should dump the Trump name from two buildings in Toronto and Vancouver.
” In Metro Vancouver 60 percent say that the Trump name should go from the tower in the city and in Toronto its even higher, 71 percent say the name should go.”
More than 1500 people filled out the survey online from December 10th to 13th.
