New Westminster Police are looking for the driver in a hit and run last night.
Police were called around 11:15 pm, after the driver of another vehicle spotted the man lying in the middle of Brunette Avenue, near Sherbrooke st.
Officers say the man appeared to have been hit by a vehicle that had fled the scene.
The man is still in hospital, in stable condition.
It’s still unclear exactly what time the collision happened, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call them.
That stretch of road has a history of hit and run collisions.
Last December, a 52-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor trailer on Brunette near East Columbia.
