UPDATE: Kathie McDougall’s nephew says she was located safely by police this evening in Abbotsford.
A 42-year-old woman who came to Vancouver to pick up a relative from the hospital has gone missing, and her family is asking for help to find her.
Kathie McDougall, from Pelly Crossing in the Yukon, flew down this week to pick up a family member from St. Paul’s Hospital.
“She texted her husband, George, at 8 a.m. to tell him that she was going to the hospital. She never showed up. She never picked up Joyce and no one’s heard from her since.”
Her niece, Shawna Mills, says that was two days ago, and the family is worried sick.
She says McDougall checked in at the Sandman hotel on Davie Street.
“All of her stuff is still there and she never checked out.”
Anyone who has any information is asked to call VPD.
