The watering restrictions we saw this summer in Metro Vancouver could be back again next year.
Metro Vancouver’s Utilities Committee has approved extending water restrictions next summer by a month in total.
The tentative plans calls for implementing Stage One water restrictions May 15th, if we see more dry, hot weather.
Burnaby Councillor Colleen Jordan has concerns over how the watering stages this year were rolled out.
“I think we need to be more clear with the public about what triggers the various stages of the plan, and have that clearly laid out.”
The response plan still must be approved by the Metro Vancouver board as a whole.
