If the latest numbers from the BC Real Estate Association are any indication, the housing sector in the province is still very strong.
Home sales in October were up 14.1% from the same month a year ago.
Total sales dollar volume was $5.8-billion, up 32.3%, and the average home price rose to $667,480, up 16% compared to October of last year.
Association economist Brendon Ogmundson says a near record pace of home sales in Metro Vancouver offset weakness in resource-based communites in northern BC.
