A 19-year-old teen is in hospital after he was stabbed twice in the stomach.
It happened in Pitt Meadows near the intersection of Harris and Ford Road just after 7pm Tuesday evening.
Staff Sergeant Daryl Creighton with Ridge Meadows RCMP says the 23-year-old suspect is known to police and is in custody.
“The suspect fled, however he was tracked down about two hours later and arrested for assault with a weapon”.
Sergeant Creighton says the incident is not gang related but the reason for the stabbing is unknown at this point.
The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.
