Two more calls for North Shore Rescue Thanksgiving weekend.
One for a woman who’d fallen and injured her face, throat and spine on Crown Mountain.
And a second one assisting the District of North Vancouver Fire department with a person in an overturned kayak.
North Shore Rescue’s Mike Danks says they needed to use a helicopter to get the fallen woman to safety.
“Because of the location she was in we had to use a long-line to get her back to our SAR station, she was a little ways off the trail, that was just because of the fall she had taken. There’s very steep terrain there.”
This has been the busiest year for North Shore Rescue on record, who have been struggling for resources to continue their rescue efforts.
