The case of two transit police officers convicted of assault for pepper spraying a man in 2012 has ended with a sentencing.
Saying a custodial sentence would not fit the crime, the judge conditionally discharged the case, sentencing Bruce Shipley and Alfred Wong to twenty-five hours community work, to be completed by February twentieth of next year.
That would make it four years after Jordan Dyck was assaulted at the Granville SkyTrain station.
Both men would also have to inform the courts of any change in employment.
Both have been on administrative duty since they were charged.
