Two Richmond hikers lost on North Vancouver’s Mount Seymour are okay.
The 51 year old woman and 55 year old man were able to make contact with North Shore Rescue crews by satellite phone earlier this morning.
Search manager Peter Haigh says the rescue was delayed three hours because the hikers kept moving.
“We recieved a phone call, while in the air, from the couple to indicate they were moving. We asked the couple to stay still and we would send a team to come up.
And in the meantime, unfortunately, the couple moved. We sent in four teams in total to go and track them.”
The hikers were not injured after spending the night on the mountain.
