A smoky start to the morning for residents of Vancouver’s West End because of a fire at 1252 Burrard Street, near Davie.
Assistant Fire Chief Chuck Stanford says they got the call shortly after 3:30am.
“Crews came upon a commercial structure that had heavy smoke showing. Upon further investigation there was a small fire that had been smouldering for some time they managed to extinguish quite quickly. There’s been fairly extensive damage to the structure itself where the business is, minor smoke damage to the adjacent buildings and no injuries.”
He says the cause is under investigation.
