Two potential roadblocks against the Site C project have been dismissed.
On Friday, the B.C. Supreme Court dismissed an application for an injunction that would have stopped some construction work on the $8-billion megadam project set for the Peace Valley.
As well, the Federal Court dismissed a bid by the Peace Valley Landowners Association to quash the project’s provincial environmental certificate.
BC Hydro spokesman David Conway says the project is the right thing for B.C. at the right time.
Another hearing is coming up in the fall, with the Treaty 8 First Nations trying to halt construction.
