After the Vancouver Police Department raided the Lime Life dispensary Thursday, the owner of the store is speaking out.
Constable Brian Montague says while investigating the store for links to organized crime, they found the store also sold marijuana to youth, and people without valid licenses.
Speaking on Drex Live earlier tonight, Lime Life owner Robert Clarke says the VPD’s claims are simply not true.
“I’ve never even been charged in my life or convicted of anything, I have no ties to organized crime I’ve actually never even spoken to the gang squad in my life.”
Clarke says as far as he knows, marijuana was only sold without checking identification once in his stores, and the employee who did that was fired.
“On all my stores it says ‘No Minors’ and all my staff have been told there they’re fired on spot if that happens. I’m just trying to run a proper society like everybody else in town and wait for the regulations and the rules.”
Clarke says he believes none of his employees are connected to any illegal activity, and says he doesn’t understand where the VPD’s claims are coming from.
