Despite another dry week and scorching temperatures on B.C.’s south coast, progress has been made in two of the province’s largest wildfires.
The Elaho wildfire is now 45 per cent contained, while the Boulder Creek Fire is now 55 per cent contained. Both fires are near Pemberton. The Elaho fire began July 14, and has grown to more than 12,500 hectares.
The Boulder Creek fire was first detected June 30, and is more than 6,300 hectares
