The new minister in charge of solving the woes at TransLink, Peter Fassbender, says he doesn’t want to rush into the selection of a new CEO for that organization.
“I think we need to take a pause on even the CEO process, to make sure for the very reason that you have said, that we have a very clear mandate for anyone who comes in as the leader of the organization.”
He also says the public needs to have the confidence they understand the mandate, and there is some clear accountability.
Fassbender was given the TransLink file in a cabinet shuffle today.
Todd Stone remains Transportation Minister.
But TransLink is off his plate.
It all follows the recent failed transit plebiscite in Metro Vancouver.
