Vancouver police are investigating the city’s ninth homicide of the year — the death of a 15 year old boy.
Constable Brian Montague says they believe the attack on Jason Nguyen was not random and the public are not at risk.
But he says there are a lot of unanswered questions.
“We’ll be looking into family members, associates, friends of this 15 year old, recent dealings with other individuals, and obviously motive will be something that we really want to determine.”
Nguyen was rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon after a family member found him with serious injuries inside a home at 24th and Rupert.
He died on the operating table.
Montague says he doesn’t believe the boy was previously known to them.
