It’s been about a year and a half since North Shore Rescue leader Tim Jones died, though his legacy hasn’t been forgotten.
Just like last year, there’ll be another beer named for and sold in his honour, brewed by Deep Cove Craft.
Tim’s son, Curtis – who is also with North Shore Rescue – says they hope to raise 30-thousand dollars.
“This year it’s the ‘Shredder Golden Ale’ – named after my dad. His nickname was ‘Shredder.’ The beer itself will be sold in liquor stores and all profits will go to the Legacy Fund.”
Curtis says the event is a big one for the team of about forty volunteers who work with the rescue group.
The funds raised cover an estimated 20 percent of their operating costs.
