If you are a transit user, get ready for a dirty bus, at least on the outside.
TransLink has announced that it’s suspending bus washing, because of the warm, dry weather, and the ensuing water restrictions.
Buses are typically washed at the end of each day, and last week TransLink moved to washing each bus every second day.
Now, exterior washes will only be done in exceptional circumstances.
That should save thirty thousand litres of water each day.
