Residents and firefighters in North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley are on edge, as someone keeps setting fires along a popular trail – a total of 13 within a 12-hour-period.
The second round of calls poured in just before 5pm yesterday.
Assistant Fire Chief Mike Cairns…
“They were just south along the same creek paths of the fires we had dealt with in the morning. So there was three more just before the creek intersected with Lynn Creek.”
Though the fires were small, Cairns hopes the person – or people – responsible for starting the fire realize the danger they are putting the public in.
North Vancouver RCMP is also investigating.
