A Coquitlam teen, who pleaded guilty to 23 charges involving so-called ‘swatting,’ is going to spend another eight months behind bars.
The 17-year-old has been sentenced to 16 months in jail, but he gets credit for time already served.
The judge also acknowledged he seemed sorry for his actions.
Last year, several hoax calls were made to police across North America and as far away as Florida and Ontario.
He targeted young female video game players.
His sentence includes a ban on him using the Internet.
