A woman in her 80’s is in critical condition after a car accident in Langley this morning.
Corporal Holly Largy with Langley RCMP says the car was heading south on 232nd near 46th Street when it collided with a concrete structure.
“There were two occupants in the vehicle, a couple both in their 80’s. The female passenger was trapped for some time and was eventually extracted from the vehicle and was air lifted in very grave condition. The male driver was not as badly injured and was transported by ground ambulance.”
Corporal Largy says it is too early to tell what caused the crash, but says the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
