New regulations aimed at curbing left-lane hogs in B.C. come into effect today.
Drivers on multi-lane highways where the speed is more than 80 kilometres an hour must stay in the right lane.
That is, unless they are passing another vehicle, preparing to turn left, or moving left to allow traffic to merge.
If you’re blocking the left lane without a good reason, you can now get a $167 fine and three penalty points on your license.
