A Victoria bus driver is shaken up after she got a way more than she bargained for behind the wheel.
It was late Saturday night in downtown Victoria, and the upstairs of a double-decker bus was packed with up to 40 young people.
John Barry with BC Transit says after letting the huge group out at a stop on Blanchard Street, the woman driver noticed a liquid dripping down on her.
“It was discovered this group had made a large mess on the upper deck. This required the bus to be taken out of service and the operator wasn’t injured in any way, but was taken to the hospital to be examined as a precaution.”
Barry says the liquid of possibly vomit and urine came through a seam on the floor of the upper level.
BC Transit says police weren’t called because by the time the mess was discovered, the group was long gone. The cost of the cleanup isn’t known.
