Evergreen Line officials say there’s only one more location where a sinkhole could still open, and that they’re working to prevent it.
Port Moody has seen four sinkholes tied to construction since last October.
Evergreen officials say they happen when the tunnel boaring machine stops for maintenance, allowing the ground to shift.
Project leader Amanda Farrell says there’s just one more stop scheduled and that’s at Robinson.
“Once the machine is on it’s way it will have one further planned maintenance stop and that’s at Robinson, and the ground improvement work is underway in anticipation of the machine arriving there.”
In February the company announced construction issues would delay completion to Fall of 2016.
Farrell says the project is still on track to meet that goal.
