BC’S Health Minister Terry Lake continues to defend plans to relocate Vancouver’s St. Paul’s Hospital.
“Health care services in the West End will be addressed. They will have a high level of primary care in the community to ensure that their needs are being met.
He’s responding to concerns raised by opponents who want St. Paul’s to stay on Burrard Street.
“The location at Station Street was a better location to get the state-of-the-art, future hospital that people of Vancouver need and that serves, also, the entire province in many specialties.”
The new home near Main and Terminal is expected to cost 1.2 billion dollars.
