In the wake of a massive fire in that displaced 150 people in Langley – a local London Drugs is collecting donations for the fire victims.
Justin Martell says the his location on 202 Street and 66th Avenue is acting as a drop-off spot for anyone who wants to help.
“We’d like people to be able to drop off clothing, food, water – any supplies for these people who are going to be out of their homes for the near future.”
“Mainly clothing, food items, water. The staples that one would need when they can’t get access to their home. Just that that sort of outreach.”
Martell says he got the idea because several employees at his location live in the affected condo.
Fire officials say residents of the condo – which was badly damaged by heat from the fire – won’t be able to return until a building inspector gives the okay.
Langley RCMP are investigating and believe the fire to be suspicious.
