In the midst of a drug turf war plaguing their city, Surrey RCMP are opening its doors to the public Saturday afternoon.
Their sights of Surrey that RCMP have seen all too many times with 27 shootings in Surrey and Delta in two months.
Now, they’re hoping to engage with the public this weekend during an Open House to kick off Police Week.
Superintendent Bill Fordy says in a release that it’ll give residents an inside look at policing at what he describes as a fun family event with police dogs, forensics, and a helicopter on hand.
The event gets underway at noon on Saturday at the Surrey RCMP Main Detachment.
