A nineteen year old man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
It happened at the intersection of Marshall Road and McCallum Road in Abbotsford on Thursday evening.
“Our officers arrived on scene, located the pedestrian, and immediately transported [him] to hospital to receive medical attention.”
Constsable Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford Police says he can’t confirm if the 19 year old was on a long board at the time of the incident.
“I can confirm there is a long board that is – and still remains on scene, but I’m going to defer to our collision reconstructionists as well as our investigators to get report from witnesses and others before definitively saying the pedestrian was long boarding.”
The driver – a twenty year old male – stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
