The streets of Surrey are packed with smiling faces today as thousands gather to celebrate the Sikh holiday of Vaisakhi.
Brilliant sunshine and a clear blue sky has set the tone in Surrey.
And the crowds have turned up in full force to celebrate.
128th Street is a sea of colour with long lines forming at many of the food stands.
And that’s the common theme.
Ask almost anyone here what their favourite part is, and they’ll tell you it’s the food – though no one can agree on the best dish.
The smell of Pakoras and Samosas, pulsing music and helium balloons all drift together down the street over what is clearly a very happy crowd.
