A multi-million dollar real estate deal involving Vancouver’s Pearson-Dogwood lands has been finalized.
“The final price of that sale is 302-million dollars.”
Gavin Wilson with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority says most of that money from the Onni Group will be re-invested in health care infrastructure.
“New community health centre on that site, as well as a replacement for the Dogwood Lodge, constructing a new 150-bed care home. As well, it’ll provide 114 housing units for people with severe disabilities. That’s replacing the George Pearson centre.”
“It’s a 25-acre site. We’ve sold 22 acres and we’ll be retaining three acres for our own use. That’s where we’ll be building the residential care home and the community health centre.”
Construction, slated to start in 2018, includes market housing for up to 45-hundred people near Cambie and 57th Avenue.
