The search continues this morning for two missing pilots after their cargo plane crashed into the North Shore Mountains.
Police maintain it’s still a rescue operation.
RCMP say an aerial extraction team is camping overnight to maintain continuity of the crash site.
The Carson Air Cargo flight, with two pilots but no passengers on board, took off from YVR just before 7am Monday, and disappeared from radar soon after on its way to Prince George.
Bill Yearwood, with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, says the debris field was discovered near Mount Seymour.
“The piece that resembled a wing service, wing part, I understand that more debris has been found to indicate site location.”
The TSB will send in investigators once it determines the accessibility of the steep and technical terrain.
