Forget playoff previews and firings in the NHL, the big announcement since the league’s regular season went dark, came from the twitter feed of the Canucks likely game one starter between the pipes.
You’re not gonna believe it but Edward Twitterhands is staying off Twitter for playoffs! Let’s do this thing #thisiswhatwelivefor
This is devastating information
How will we now when it is Taco Tuesday?
When will we get updates of Eddie Lack getting free suits, or pimping out the liquid he gets paid to endorse, or pictures of him and Mom having dinner.
How will this affect our lives?
Eddie joked his mother will take over. She has a great handle @mammamialack which can be interesting.
We should be OK, but what about Eddie?
He is one of the few players that let us in. It’s nice to have access. We don’t find out how Ryan Miller feels about anything until a Hockey Wives episode four months after something has happened.
Most goaltenders at any level, but especially professionals are creatures of habit. They have rituals. Actually that is a nice way of saying they are superstitious.
I guarantee some Canucks fans will be worried because the lanky Lack will not be tweeting out pics of himself getting a haircut.
Lack should be fine; he has not done anything conventional since he has been part of the Canucks. Once in the off-season he spent a day hanging out with a play by play man and his family at an amusement park. Think Bobby Lou ever pulled that off.
By being conventional, Lack is actually still the same unconventional dude that keeps everyone guessing.
You know the team is just fine with a lack of tweeting. But watch out if the ‘Nucks drop game 1, there could be a Lack, backlash on the Twitter.
